moms visit

Well it has been awhile since I have posted we have been super busy! My mom came to visit and that was a blast! It has been super nice weather here and so we have been at the park a lot!
We also got a table for Nova and Tim and I painted it, super cute!

Surprise!!!

On monday morning I got a call from Josh, Tim's best friend saying that they wanted to come visit! They are stationed in San Diego now but we hadn't seen them since Japan when I was just a few months pregnant with Nova so it had been a long time!  I told them that Tim was working until wednesday but then he had 3 days off, so we decided to surprise Tim! They planned on coming Wednesday night and then staying for a few days! They were able to go pick Tim up from work and man was he surprised! It was so exciting! On Thursday we went to the Aquarium and Cannery Row and hiking on Ord then surprised another one of our friends from Japan! On Friday we went to Big Sur and Carmel Meadows hiking and the waves were incredible, but it was COLD!! On Saturday we went to Santa Cruz, we walked on W Cliff Dr, did the boardwalk and the Wharf with the Sea Lions and Pacific Ave and then went to Monterey's Wharf on the way home! We had such a great time and lucky for us Josh is an incredible photographer!

Fly...

So Nova has been really talking lately and starting more and more often to put words into a "sentence."
Tonight while we were eating dinner a moth flew by her head and she just blurts out "fly" it was so funny. Sometimes it is funny how we repeat some things over and over like her name is Nova, or Yes or Please, Thank you etc... I don't know that the word fly has been mentioned more then a handful of times but still she knows it! Sometimes kids are so amazing!

Nova's favorite words are:
- yucky, that means garbage, garbage can or anything she wants to throw away! It is quite funny we are out walking the dogs and everything is yucky, gagagagagucky hilarious! Yep she is OBSESSED with Garbage
-Namy and Toady that is Cami and Cody the puppers
-Poop.. she loves poop, poop bags, anything even resembling poop or even just food dropped on the floor, or farting that is poop too! The entire walk namy poop hahaha the people around us must think we are crazy!
-Mommy and Daddy not to be confused with mama which means give me that/I want that.
-Book, Nova loves it when we read to her or sometimes she will sit down with us and just flip through the pages and point at things and either say them, or just mumble something
-"Nama," Grandma or anyone that calls, skypes or any picture/video on the computer.
-Water any liquid, in a glass, on the ground, ocean anything blue in a book.
-Hot anything cold, hot, dangerous or anything we tell her not to touch she says "hot?"
-Up, if she wants us to pick her up or if she wants to climb up on her chair and help us cook or if she wants down
-Vikings, anytime daddy watches the game and suddenly claps, cheers, or any other form of excitement Nova says, Go Vikings

-Boobie, anytime she wants to nurse, or is sleepy or upset
-"Titty" Kitty
-"Cock" sock
**If listening to Nova speak without a translation you would really think we graphically covered the body parts!**


The list goes on and on and continues to grow everyday, but these are the ones that make us laugh!

Sick House

So Nova was sick... now we are all sick! It should be illegal to live far from your family and friends and all be sick! UGH!! We are done with the throwing up part now just to feel a little less like death!

Poor Little

So my poor little girl is sick! She NEVER gets sick so this is sooooo hard on me :( She laid down last night at the normal time and then in the middle of the night woke up throwing up! She did that on and off all night! She woke up at 8:30 and then was sick on and off just nursing and cuddling and at 11 asked for "nigh nigh" we went in to lay down and she was asleep immediately! Poor Girl so she is sleeping now and hopefully dreaming of good things! Another reason and time I am so thankful she is still nursing!! Thank goodness our bodies as mothers are able to provide for our littles in just the right way! Amazing!

Happy New Year

We have made a family decision to delete my (Jeana's) Facebook account and instead use this for family and friends to see what our family is up to!
In the new year Tim and I are hoping to make more time for our family and continue to prepare ourselves for our move home to minnesota and transition out of the military and into the civilian world, we can now say NEXT YEAR!!!
My resolutions are to go gluten and sugar free completely and to add in more and more raw food, to continue my reading on becoming the best parent to Nova possible and to judge less and be more understanding.
I am not sure if Tim wants to share his resolutions for the new year I will let him decide!
